What we are doing is that we are recording, you could say, their life story, whether is from a family member, a friends or even a total stranger.
The way this project is connected is that we will have this recordings once this people are long gone. Most stories about the world come from rich and powerful people, and army men from high above spots, or the ones that got injured, but the others mostly go unnoticed, so we are now interviewing this people, persons that have a daily day life, and may seem as they have nothing interesting about them, but what we do is that we asked them about and their stories may be even be more interesting that you ever expected, they're different from what we usually hear from the social media.
We are hearing this stories from people that were in sidelines during history, and now we're bringing them into the light, so that one day we can listen back on this recording and remember them.
For my interview, I decided that my interviewee would be my mom, Martha Angelica, because I wanted to know more about her, from her moving from Leon to Guanajuato, to finally end up here, in the Unites States, with me, me sister, and her husband.
Pre-interview and Interview
My process was simple since I already knew the person I would be interviewing and we were not strangers to each other, so all I had to do was to write down what I already knew about her, and what I wanted to know more about to come up with question that would get me the information I wanted.
After this, the interview was quite simple. I called my mom to my room so we could have privacy and where it was more silent. The interview went smoothly, it was in Spanish to add more comfort for my mom , who is not really used to speaking complete English, and we talked for more than 40 minutes, the time limit being 30. I got a lot of background info from my mom and I feel like I know her even more than before which is a really nice thought.
Interview and Script Outline
The interview outline is kind of like a guide to your own interview, where you take note of what is being said in the interview and at what time. This was used to make your 'navigation' through the interview recording more easily and helped you to create you script outline.
The difference between scrip outline and the interview outline, is that in the scrip outline the interview is transcribed completely, unlike the IO(interview outline) where is mostly to take notes about is being talked about. Also the SO(script outline) is more shorter version of the interview, where we put the main pieces of information from the interview into it.
The SO was a little more complicated since you have to listen to the recording while writing every single word being said since this is the script that is being followed while listening to the interview.

As you can see in the pictures above, minute 7:20 is shorter in the IO than in SO, that's because in the SO the interview is word by word while in the IO was more for taking note.

Here is a link to the Humans of South Bay so you can see my Golden Paragraph, which is the piece of the interview that I thought was the most meaningful, and there the link for the whole interview story:

Reflection
I guess someone I would like to do this again with would be my cousin Raul, who was Alejandro's brother who passed away, I would love to hear more about one of my favorites cousin from one of my favorite cousins. So I would love to talk more to Raul about Ale, and also just talk about life in particular, like how's life being married to his wife Jessica, since she's such a great person and I love seeing them both happy for being together,
